What started as a personal challenge became something much bigger — bringing together motorsport, education and real-world experience to show that ability isn't something you either have or don't have.
It can be built.

Built By Girl® doesn't just talk about motorsport. The #144 Mazda RX-8 is an actively raced circuit car, and the challenges that happen on track are part of the story.

I didn't begin my racing journey until my mid-40s.
I didn't come from motorsport. I didn't have an engineering background or mechanical qualifications.
I simply wanted to understand how it worked.
So I started asking questions, learning, making mistakes — and eventually built my own circuit race car.
Somewhere along the way, I realised I wasn't just building a race car. I was rebuilding myself.
SOMETIMES POSSIBILITY STARTS WITH SIMPLY ASKING:

IT BECAME SOMETHING BIGGER.
The lessons I was learning through motorsport weren't really about racing.
They were about asking questions. Making mistakes. Finding people who knew more than I did. Trying again. Solving problems. And building confidence by actually doing something.
And I began to realise these were exactly the kinds of conversations I wished I'd had when I was younger.
That's where The Power of Possibility began.

Long before motorsport, there were dreams that didn't work out, struggles at school, motherhood, setbacks, starting again — and eventually the decision in my mid-40s to try something completely new.
Built By Girl® wasn't created by someone who always knew what she wanted to be.
It came from someone who discovered that where you start doesn't have to determine where you finish.
TODAY, BOTH WORLDS KEEP MOVING.
Built By Girl® continues to race.
The car continues to evolve.
And the experiences that happen on the racetrack continue to provide real-world stories and learning that can be taken into schools.
