RACING

THIS IS WHERE BUILT BY GIRL® COMES ALIVE.

Built By Girl® wasn't created around a display car.

This is a real race car, built to compete.

From the workshop to the starting grid, racing is where the learning, problem-solving, teamwork and resilience behind Built By Girl® are put to the test.

And every time the car goes back on track, another chapter of the story is created.

REAL CAR. REAL RACING. REAL LEARNING.

THE CAR

BUILT, NOT BOUGHT.

At the centre of Built By Girl® is a purpose-built Mazda RX-8 circuit race car, powered by a 13B rotary engine.

But the important part isn't simply what it is.

It's what it represents.

Built without a mechanical or engineering background, the car became a hands-on education in how things work — through asking questions, making mistakes, solving problems and continuing to learn.

Today, it continues to evolve as a genuine competition race car.

A black Mazda sports car with a large rear wing is elevated on a lift in an automotive workshop. The workshop has various car parts, tools, and containers in the background, along with a sign that says 'Penrite'. An engine block is placed on a stand below the car, surrounded by tires, and the garage has a concrete floor and metal ceiling.

BUILT IN THE WORKSHOP. PROVEN ON THE TRACK.

Racing isn't just what happens when the lights go out.

Behind every race weekend are hours of preparation, maintenance, repairs, setup, testing and problem-solving.

Sometimes things work.

Sometimes they don't.

RACING TAKES A TEAM.

No race car reaches the track because of one person however much she tries!!

Built By Girl® races with the support, knowledge and experience of ProWorx Racing & Automotive, alongside the people and businesses who help keep the car competing.

THE RACETRACK IS PART OF THE CLASSROOM.

The race car students meet at school is the same car that competes on the racetrack.

It isn't a replica.
It isn't a static display.
And its story isn't finished.

** On the weekend, it's a race car.

At school, it's a classroom. **

Keeping the car actively racing keeps Built By Girl® authentic.

The challenges faced at the track — the wins, mistakes, mechanical failures, teamwork and problem-solving — become real stories that can be taken back into schools through The Power of Possibility.

The racing keeps the programme real.
The programme gives the racing a bigger purpose.
